We like free stuff. We’re sure you like free stuff too.
So we decided, in the spirit of Christmas, to give away five albums. All you had to do was comment on our Facebook page with your postbox details. The criteria was simple: we’re looking for enthusiastic fans. You must understand, flattery gets you everywhere with just about everyone in the RCB.
And the winners were…
Antonette Claasens. Our decision to go with Antonette is purely based on her FB comment. “Please! Please! You guys are AWESOME!” What egotistical rock star could ignore that? Certainly not Rudi. Or Berto. So Merry Christmas Antonette! Hope you like it!
Richard Stewart. Rich and his wife Lindsay moved from PMB with their family to Centurion. (Altogether now: “Aaaaag shame!”) Like he said on his FB comment, “Centurion needs good music”. A fool-proof argument. Merry Christmas Rich!
Maureen Hawker. We knew Maureen was a great choice when she was the first person to respond to her free album by sending us a picture for this blog. Go Mo! Maureen had a few issues with her health at the time, and so we thought what better remedy for the blues than some good ol’ South African acoustic rock! Merry Christmas Mo!
Susan Simkiss. We thought Susan would be a good choice because she has a name and surname with alliteration. We had to have one winner like that. Plus she supports the band. And she’s told her friends she got an RCB album. For free. Merry Christmas Sue!
Melissa Nicholson. Mel is enthusiastic. The RCB likes that. Mel has travelled to Oz. The RCB will be going to Oz. Mel has travelled elsewhere. The RCB will be going elsewhere. You get it. Merry Christmas Mel!
There was one comment which got our attention, from Mr Ant Bell.
“EMI Group plc, 27 Wrights Lane, London,W8 5SW. I love the cd and I think they will too. Go on, they deserve a copy.”
This kind of fan interaction could get you shares in the RCB! Needless to say, we posted 1 x free album off to them. Complete with a handwritten note. We’re waiting to hear from them.
