#32 [MINI] – What Kind Of Legacy Are You Leaving?

The Thirty-Second episode of the Great Deep Podcast Series is all about what kind of legacy we leave… when all is said and done, what will people remember about you?

I’ve come to understand that legacy is less about what we leave behind for people, and more about what we leave behind in people. It’s the memories locked away in our hearts. It’s the tough times where we fought – sometimes against each other and sometimes with each other against greater odds – that craft a legacy in people.

So here are some thoughts around this idea, as I close a chapter in my life and begin a new one.

You can read the blog I wrote about it here.

If you have thoughts on legacy and some creative ideas around it, I would love to hear from you.

The Thirty-First episode of the Great Deep Podcast Series reflects on a key question – what anchors you? Put another way, what are the main priorities in your life?

As the world starts coming to grips with the effects of lockdown and a global pandemic, mental health is probably the biggest issue we’re faced with.

A consistent therapeutic intervention is (you guessed it) exercise.

The blog on the benefits of mental health from exercise lists these five things:

  1. Help for depression and anxiety.
  2. Decreased stress.
  3. Increased self-esteem and self-confidence.
  4. Better sleep.
  5. Brain boost.

You can read the whole thing here.

Amidst Valentine’s Day and the month of love, here’s a question: how do we fight in a relationship? How should we do it in a way that esteems, rather than vanquishes?

I’m at a stage where I think this stuff needs more discussion. There’s a host of information out there, but herein is my experience.

The podcast references the song Loving Every Day. You can read the story behind the song here.
