For the longest time, I resisted teaching musical instruments. Don’t ask me why. The reasons are really quite dumb.
Turns out, I love it. AND, I’m not bad at it either. Who would have thought??
So at the beginning of 2015, we opened up our home and started with three students. I was surprised at how quickly word got out. Within two months, there were 12 students.
At the beginning of 2016, we capped Friday afternoons at 24 students. I have been somewhat amazed that I have had to turn away another dozen students. I can honestly say it is a highlight in my week – spending time with the 23 kids and 1 adult who come along each Friday committed to getting better at their instrument.
Like I say, who would have thought?? Anyway, I am opening up some additional mid-week spaces in the late afternoon (30-minute sessions). Each term course runs over 8 weeks. So if you have kids or you yourself are keen to learn, drop me an e-mail for details.
