Here’s how we do things in the RCB. It’s not rocket science. Our aim is simple:

CONNECT WITH THE PEOPLE.

That’s YOU! Last time you checked, you were a person, right? (I hope so… otherwise I’m blogging to the wrong cybersphere.)

It’s simple: we like people. In fact, we love people. Like Jesus does. Okay, maybe not quite like he does – no-one compares in that regard. But we do enjoy interacting with people.

If you’re reading this, you’re more than likely a cool person. And so we’d like to get to know you, and help you with your life by giving you stuff we have in our possession.

Here’s how we view things:

1. If you’re on our mailing list (see right), you’re royalty. If you mail us back, we think you’re just the most amazing thing in the whole world at that moment. Why? Because we love interaction. It’s not rocket science, it’s simple. Being on our mailing list has all sorts of perks, but you’ll have to sign up to find out more about that.

2. If you like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter, you’ll get free stuff. Seriously.

Take this past week, for example. Kim Maclean, who lives in Dubai, simply tweeted us back. And she won a free download of the album.

The conversation on Twitter went like this:

We then received a DM (direct message) from Kim, saying

“stoked to get some SA music while i sit in the sandpit of the UAE! i’m still working on organizing you guys a Dubai gig – haha!! thanks!”

Seriously people, that’s how easy it is. This is how much we like to connect with you. On any given day, all you have to do is tweet us back, comment on Facebook, share a link, and there’s stuff available. For free.

“Why?” you ask.

Well, for us in the RCB, it’s about being fun, authentic and relevant. That’s it. We’re trying to live out what we sing and play. And truthfully, we like being spontaneous like this. It’s quite liberating being able to give stuff away. After all, living really is about giving, don’t you think?
